LESSONS:
Ride the Wind offers western riding lessons for all ages in a fun and safe environment. It doesn't matter if you are six or sixty, we can assist you in fulfilling your dream of riding like the wind. Lessons are highly individualized and designed to instill the confidence and skills you need to be safe and secure in the saddle. We stress horsemanship not fear. We want to teach you the right way so that you don't get hurt.
Lessons are available seven days a week at a reasonable rate so we can accommodate your schedule and your budget. Both group and individual lessons are available. The first lessons are generally one hour long. As your muscle strength and balance improve, you will be able to handle a longer time in the saddle. Lesson horses are available for all levels of riders. You can also bring your own horse.
We specialize in beginner riders but also offer instruction in barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying, calf roping, team roping, and trail riding. You will learn about the horse and how to care for him as well as the essentials of western horse tack (bits, bridles, saddles, etc.). Just let us know what your goals are and we can help you reach them!
Price per lesson:
$40 for children
$50 for adults
$75 for children with parents assistance
TRAINING:
If you are having trouble with your horse, we can help. Sometimes a horse just needs a "tune up" with an equine professional. Whether it's problems on the ground or in the saddle, we will evaluate your horse and work with you to resolve the problem so that you can enjoy your horse again.
